Wish luck to the England Team for the Euros by giving your old footballs to Matt Small Artist’s Art Project. Pop over to ActOne any day between 12 am and 10 pm, we are collecting old tatty footballs until the 21st of April.
Primarily a painter, Acton-based award-winning artist Matt Small Artist has a strong, compelling style, often choosing discarded objects instead of canvas for his work.
Matt’s work was displayed at the cinema before we turned the gallery space to Screen 2 (his exhibition Seeing Is Believing opened in September 2022).
You can see Matt’s work at JG Contemporary and he is the author of the iconic scrap metal mosaic mural of Jamal Edwards on Acton High Street.
YOU now have a chance to contribute towards Matt’s next artwork: ActOne Cinema & Café foyer is a collection place for old footballs. To quote ‘the tattier the better’, they need to be old/used footballs as the artwork is made from recycled objects and materials.
