VOLUNTEER Newsletter 23
Hi all
Happy New Year and Welcome to all our New Volunteers. What a busy time it has been at the Cinema, let’s hope it continues through 2025!
Toilet Duties
Shifts are now largely planned to give a ‘half an hour window’ before films start. This should give plenty of time to check the toilets at the beginning of a shift. Just to ensure that this routine job is not forgotten, we are going to ask you to sign to say that you have done a check whilst on your shift.
So, starting on 1st February please sign the ‘toilet check’ column in the Volunteer book. (This was the ‘Volunteer Column.’ ) Please sign with your initials, and If for some reason you were not able to do a check please put ‘not checked’

Please check;
-
The level of paper towels in the dispenser and refill if necessary.
-
That there is a good supply of toilet paper in each cubicle and refill if needed.
-
That the toilets are flushed and clean. Use gloves and spray to wipe if needed. Ask for FOH to help if more cleaning is necessery.
Easy Link with Rota Central (RC)

This takes you straight through to youir volunteer page, and you can fill in your shifts from there, when you want to. You can save this link on your phone or your computer in ‘favourites’ and it will mean that you do not have to go back through the login process.
Volunteer Meeting : Diary Date
We are planning this for Tuesday March 18th at 5.30-6.30 and hope that many of you will be able to come along. We’ll send out a reminder.
‘Annual Refreshing’ of our List of Volunteers
Thanks to everyone who contributes their time to ActOne, however there are people on our data base who have not done any shifts in 2024. We will be sending them an email and if we do not get a reponse their names will be removed. They may have not been able to help for good reason or wish to help in 2025, if this is the case.. they will stay on the list!

ActOne Policy on Dogs
We had a situation recently where a visitor thought that dogs were allowed in the Cinema. So just to remind everyone: Dogs are welcomed in the Café and Lounge, but not in the Screens!
Events:
Matt Small Exhibition
Do you remember the ‘collecting’ of used footballs? These have been incorporated into and Exhibition called ‘Pride of England’ at Pitzhanger Museum. See details below:

New Volunteers and Social Media
We are always keen to have new volunteers so please keep a look out! Please get anyone interested to email Amanda: amanda@actonecinema.co.uk or give them one of the small cards or flyers that we have on our desk.
And.. another reminder to encourage people to leave reviews on google if they have enjoyed their ActOne cinema experience. https://g.page/r/CRWdQxjLgx8xEB0/review
